(TQQQ close × shares traded + QLD close × shares traded) ÷ (SQQQ close × shares traded + QID close × shares traded). Dollar trading volume is estimated as daily traded shares multiplied by that fund’s closing price, using price and volume on the same split-adjusted basis. Each trade has a buyer and seller: this measures trading activity rather than net buying, fund flows or assets under management. No additional leverage weighting is applied.

The fixed four-fund Nasdaq-100 universe matches the asset-spread page. History starts in 2018 because earlier reverse-split-adjusted inverse volumes have insufficient precision. Previously published validated observations retain their source batches. Fund details: TQQQ · QLD · SQQQ · QID. See the matching asset-spread chart.

The white line is the Nasdaq-100 price index (Yahoo Finance ^NDX). The red ratio uses a separate linear right axis; the price defaults to the logarithmic left axis. The dashed gold 1× line marks equal long and inverse dollar turnover. The two series have independent vertical scales.

Source daily bars: TQQQ · QLD · SQQQ · QID. All fund components must be present for each ratio. The conservative effect of changing each split-adjusted volume by one share must be no more than 0.1% of the ratio; otherwise the date is a gap. This bounds share-rounding sensitivity, not every possible provider error. Dividend-adjusted closes are not used. Missing price context does not remove a valid fund-volume ratio. No missing volumes are treated as zero and no observations are forward filled.

Validated records older than 60 calendar days are archived with their original source hashes and component bars, so future reverse splits cannot degrade their saved precision. More recent bars are refreshed to allow provider corrections. Only completed NYSE sessions are added, using a holiday and early-close calendar plus a 20-minute grace period.
